Customer has an interchange 12.1 and MP5000. After 2 years of working fine,today it stopped recording messages, it allows you to leave a message, but when the user plays it back it only gives the caller ID number and no message.Everthing else seems fine,such as auto attendant and transfering. Any Ideas? Thanks

You have to test all ports to convince me that the whole mail system is not recording. You can also do disk defrag as the voice processing engine is a disk resource hog.

Experienced this issue recently as well. A reboot of the voice mail cures the problem, however as RBF said, you need to be running a regular defrag program as well. Diskeeper is an option and works well. Shout back if it continues as there are some other things to check to resolve this issue. Good luck.

I have Diskeeper scheduled every night and had the cust, reboot.Tech support said Unified messaging was causing corruption as the cust. tried to change the host loc. Today they tell me their E-mail server has changed and no one bothered to informed us!I disabled U.M. and they are back, till I meet with their IT guy on Mon. THanks for responses!

Vertical tech support has a beta patch for 12.1 regarding this issue. You have to contact them to obtain it.

Hi
Did you find a fix for this? I am having the same problem. MP5000 12.0 voicemail. Out of the blue mailboxes just getting caller id. With no unified messaging all good. I am on hold now with comdial tech support. Watching the timer .....

Hi Jim, Since my customer only had 3 people using unified messaging, I turned that off and had the messages go to their phone. That fixed the problem.I'm still waiting for the customers IT man to contact me with the correct E-mail addresses. I hope that helps!

Thanks. I found the ready folder had a bunch of files in it. Deleted those and rebooted and all is fine.
