I need to get a custom MOH recording onto a DX80 voicemail, to be used as a routing box greeting for a UCD group (i.e., 3101, 3201, 3301). I've seen where others have determined the format of other DOS KVT voicemail prompts, but I'm wondering if anyone has figured out the format for this one. This would also be the samre format as used on a COB for MP5000.
Thanks!
Justin

Thanks for the link, Dave! That's the thread I was looking for. I know there has to be a way to convert the file. There are so many applications available for converting between different audio formats. The problem is finding the right format to convert to. So far I've not had any luck in identifying the correct format.

DX80/120, COB and regular DOS vm use 8x8 MuLaw codec. (Standard Dialogic format). Use Sound Recorder / properties to view existing codec to verify. Bricks and very old baby talk (original DX80 VM) use a different format. Having said that, newer (12.0+) UM VM's convert wave to 8x8 on the fly. If you have a newer system on a bench, try saving the file as wav, attach it to an email for a UM client and it will be 8x8 on the VM system. I think

I can't even get the file to open in Sound Recorder. It doesn't like the format, so it doesn't want to open it. So, I can't see the Properties. Same applies when trying Media Player.
