I've got one station in one office that during afterhours, is not ringing at the station but just beeps and goes straight to voicemail. When someone calls in after switchboard is closed, they queue in the extension and the user just hears two beeps and the calls goes to voicemail. It is not ringing first for some reason?

Thanks

What model of Comdial do you have??

If it's a DX-80 or DX-120, make sure the volume is set at 3. If it's set at "0", all you hear is one courtesy ring and then it goes to VM--you don't hear the other 3 rings because the ringer is essentially shut off.

The stations are Comdial Impact and the switch is an MP500. I was wondering if it was the volume... Thats a good suggestion. I'll try that today and see if that resolves the issue.

I just talk to the user again, apparently it does not beep until the call is in voicemail. When someone calls in after hours, queues his extension, it does not ring it just goes straight to voicemail. Any idea how to have it ring first?

Thanks

Are they using auto attendant to answer the call and transfer? I'd make sure first the volume is turned up and then If the AA is doing an answer and transfer that the mailbox is not set to "no Transfer."

Thanks Rather Be Fishing... The mailbox transfer was set to blind but it was not enabled. I enabled it so we will see. That should do it. I'll post back once I find out.

Just confirming, Rather Be Fishing you were correct. Once I enabled the transfer feature and left it on blind, it started working. Thanks again!
