I have a Comdial Impact Phone 8212N Telephone the message button keeps blinking but when you press it, it does not go to the voicemail it only gives you a busy signal.

It may not be the voice mail that activated your message light. It could be another extension that did it which might be busy when you call it. You might want to try this when the office is idle so that there's little chance that the offending extension is busy. If this is the case, your message light will go out once you are successful.

There may also be an issue with your voice mail system. Try leaving yourself a new message, then delete it and see if the light goes out then.

Lastly, we'll need to know which phone and voice mail systems you have, not just the model of the phone itself. There are dozens of systems that support this particular phone. With this information, one of our Comdial gurus may be able to give you more accurate information.

Have seen this before, and you may be able to fix it by a simple reset. Unplug the phone for 10 seconds or so and plug it back up. As they always say, when in doubt.....reboot! Good luck.
