Hi there, for some reason, one of our extensions has jumped out of sequence and is now 2225 whereas the rest of the extensions on our network run from 201 in a
range...

Where do I look to change the extension number back?

Thanks in advance

You can change the extension number in mmc 724 under stations.

Thanks for that... what ive found though is that I can only change it to a four letter number whereas the rest of the network is on
a three digit numbering scheme.

eg.
8DLI01:0201 ???
8DLI02: 202

When I try and change 0201 to 201, it doest change...??

When you are doing this the cursor must be underneath the 0201 not under the 8DLI01.
That should work for you .

Yep, its under the 0201 etc. etc.. for
some reason, when I first enter MMC724,
it automaticall jumps to 202 so I scroll
back to where 201 should be and it will
not take a 3 digit extension number.
If I type in 201 (rather than 0201)and
push either speaker or trsf to exit, it
doesnt save the changes...

202 is the lowest ext # at this point. Try hitting the hold key to erase the entry first.

Actually you might want to try this. After you change the extension to 201 hit the right soft key under the display (closest to the scroll key).

Or, more detail:

TRSF 800
ENTER PASSWORD
1 TO ENABLE
SPEAKER
724
USE VOLUME UP/DOWN TO DISPLAY:

STN NUM PLAN:C1
SX-P01:201->

PRESS RIGHT SOFTKEY TO MOVE to Cabinet Selection, press Softkey again to Change to Slot, Press Softkey again to move to Port, Press Again to move to the new setting. Enter new ext #, press Left softkey to change back to port, if the new # you enter conflicts with another, you will then have to press 1 to override it.

Since, I noticed you had 0xxx you may want to go back into feature codes, and reset oper back to 0

Hit SPKR to exit , press 800, hit 0 to disable programming, then hit TRSF to exit tech mode.
