Is there a way to prolong the amount of time a person is put on hold before it starts to ringing again letting you know they are on hold? If you don't pick up right away I believe it hangs up on them or throws them to voice mail. I am not sure what happens because it is the secretary that answers the phones, but I do know when she gets busy, she loses calls which is not good. Samsung DCS LCD12B. Thanks!

Yes you can increase the system hold recall timer. As far as the call being dropped that is not typical - when a call has exceeded its hold recall timer it will begin ringing the station that put the caller on hold again. If that station still does not pick up the call it should ring the operators group.

The timers are in mmc 501.There are a few possible ones you might change. There is
1 hold recall timer (regular held calls)
2 exclusive hold recall timer (when you press hold twice)
3 transfer recall (when a call is transferred)
recall wait time (time to ring station before reverting to operator)
There is a timer option for recall disconnect as well so you might check that while you're in there.
