Please be patient with me; I am new to the DS616. :-) My experience is mostly on the programming side of Lucent PBXs. I have looked all over without hope. I am trying to hook up MOH for a client. When I wire up the equipment to the MOH slot on the block, the music immediately starts playing over one keyset telephone as soon as it is connected (without being on hold, just start blaring out of the speaker and only happens to one keyset). The MOH slot is wired correctly (black-green pair). The MOH jumper is on EXT. I believe has something to do with the programming. I have looked at the manuals, but can not find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ------------------ Cody Brunson Technology Management Solutions https://www.technologymanagementsolutions.com

Go to the phone that is playing music and press the hold key. That is how you toggle background music on and off with the hold key. You can also disable this feature all together so nobody accidentally turns it on again.

Thanks for the quick reply. Excellent, that worked. Can you please tell me the name of the feature so I can disable it? Thanks again for the info. ------------------ Cody Brunson Technology Management Solutions https://www.technologymanagementsolutions.com

You will find it in mmc 308 bgm source. Set it to none.If you want to set all the stations that way then when you go in to mmc 308 presss the ANS/RLS key to select all stations then select none and press the right soft key.
