Hello.

I was wondering if there was a shut down procedure that I needed to do in order to reset the system.

Is there an off switch or should I just yank the power cord?

There was an big storm in my area and my T1 were out of sync, system generated a bunch of errors, when offline for 2 minutes and then came back.

Now the LAN card's mac address is "FFFFFFFFF"

I'm thinking I probably need to reset the system and see if this fixes it however I don't want to mess up the setting/programming.

Please help me out here guys.

Thanks.

Unpluging it is one way, but leave it down for at least 30 min.
good luck

You seem like you have encountered this problem before with the Mac Address as "FFFFFFFFF"?

Is there a better way to fix this problem besides leaving my system down for 30 minutes? That is kind of a long time to be down for. Will the system loose any of the configurations or programming being shut down for so long?

Please let me know.

Thanks.

Not at all. That's standard procedure to reboot anything that's electronically controlled.
with window products it's a different I use the restart and do it twice (but that's a different ball game) [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]
