the dcs compact is not being sold any more either.
the 616 is now being referred as the idcs16 if i remember right (don't really read over those bulletins too good).
the vm's now all ship with the same software. so even tho you get the svmi2e (without a lan port) it has the email gateway stuff in it.

Once you buy the Samsung voicemail, do you have all the features automatically enabled or do you have to pay extra for the emailing of your voice messaging? Thanks.

The email is only an option on the SVMi-8/16E as it's they are the only SVMI with a Lan port and comes with 5 users. If you need more, you can buy the unlimited license. As for the 7200 being the flagship ,I really don't know what their plans are for the 500 I doubt they would replace it at this point.I think the 7200 is a pure Voip switch where as the 500 can have traditional TDM and Voip. The DCS Compact hasen't been discontinued yet but its out of physical memory and its really a formality at this point to discontinue it.Great little switch though very dependable.

I've read that Samsung is now the king of memory providing it for the IPOD Nano and many other devices.
Its a shame that they could not provide a little more memory for their phone system and voicemail systems.

The 7200 uses 100% IP phones? There is no room for the standard samsung phone?
Can you have SLI extensions such as fax machines, modems, analog phones, etc on an IP-based phone system?
Thanks.
