Hello.

I have a question about CID to analog lines. I would like to get caller ID to my analog cordless phones in my home phone system.

Samsung does not make their own digital cordless phone like Panasonic does nor do they have caller ID to analog extensions on any model except the idcs 100 R2.

My question is do you need to go full out on the iDCS 100 VOIP hardware just to get Caller ID to analog extensions?

I guess what I'm asking is if there is a difference in hardware between.

iDCS 100 R2 with CID to analog trunks
vs
idcs 100 R2 with full VOIP

Also, does anyone know what type of premium there is between R1 and R2? It may be too expensive for me to get the Call ID option.

Thanks.

Release 2 has caller id to analog ports yes.
In fact all release 2 products the 616,100 and 500 do it.
No you don't need voip to have it.
Yes Samsung has released a wireless system for the 100,500 and 7200 switches. They also have caller id to the wireless set and voicemail notification.
Suggest you contact a dealer or visit Samsungs website www.samsung.com/bcs for more details.

Thank you for your help.

I am having trouble finding any wireless Samsung phone. I see the Falcon line of telephones but I don't see any cordless phones.

Can you maybe tell me the model number of the wireless phones?

These are phones that will work with the iDCS 100?

Thanks.

Ok, I got it that time. It looks like a cell phone.

That only works on the Officeserv? What about the idcs 100?

Thanks.

It works on the iDCS100 and does not need Officeserv. It does look like a cell phone, it is very small and very versitile. Do not confuse this with a cordless phone, it is not a cordless phone. It is a wireless phone, they are very different. These wireless phones require WAP's and a special card on your phone system.

Hey SoopermanX, what do you think about all the dealerships being cancelled and the "Master" dealer plan?
