I've got a stupid newbie questiom, I'm trying to help out a coworker who administers an iDCS500 & SVMi8 system at another location.
On our 500 & SVMi16 to reset a user password I just enter XXXX go into system admin, user admin, and select the user and edit user mailbox properties and select reset password.
When he tries this (and I have too) the only option for a user's box is to delete the box, if you try the same option number as the SVMi-16 (which is not given) it says it's not a valid option.
I don't know much about the SVMi-8 but I was under the impression it was similar to a 16.

I removed the admin access from your post, please do not post this access on the open forum. The access is slightly different on the newer (-E) products. Email me and I will explain. Larry

Sorry about that, it just totally slipped my mind (I have read the forum FAQ's). It won't happen again.
Going back to the original question though, on our SVMi16E under edit subscriber I get two option, 4 to delete, 5 to edit mailbox.
On the SVMi8 we only get opt 4, to delete. Trying opt 5 (which isn't offered by the prompts) produces an invalid option message.

No need to apologize and welcome to the board. I have e-mailed you what you need for access, as for the edit option I believe that is only on the svmi products that have the E suffix. Your post states that you have an SVMI-16E and the other is an SVMI-8 and not an SVMI-8E. Larry
