Hello all once again... I'd like to say thank you for your assistance on getting my voicemail backup to at least basic functions. You know who you are. I am now faced with another problem and I'm not sure how to go about solving it. Programming the auto attendant. The system worked where the main number is dialed and a the call goes into a call group if the call is not answered it would roll over to the auto attendant and then the caller would be instructed to dial an extension if they new it. THis does not work now. This used to also worked with two numbers that were our backdoor numbers. You would dial them and they would go to the attendant instantly. This does not work any longer either. Any help would be appreciated.

Check to make sure the extensions are program for the station group for the Cadence, probably 529. If you dial 529, it should recognize the user and ask for their password. In regards to the "Back Door" lines, set in MMC 406 the VM Station Group.

RCA, The voicemail is up and I can get into my mailbox no problem. I however cannot program the auto attendant message. phoneman123, when I point extensions to 529 it is not a problem. The problem I'm having is with the auto attendant . I'll take a look at 406 too thanks for your help

The calls that went to a group and if not answered went to the auto attendant, what happens with them now?The group should be overflowed to the voicemail group probably in mmc 601 depending on which group you are using. As for the backdoor lines yes check mmc 406 but that should not have changed unless it was reprogrammed.

pvj,
the backdoor lines roll into the auto attendant fine. It's the message that is confusing the callers that call in. It says for an operator dial 0. The message should say if you know your parties extension dial it at this time else dial 0.
I haven't looked into 601 to see the overflow to voicemail group I will do that.
Thanks again for all your help.

Thats right, you need to access the system admin side of the Cadence and change the message that plays. And the message can have 4 parts to it as well.

Isn't it typical in this industry, that you have to ask many questions to get to where you want to go.

Lots of times I ask just one question and I'm told where to go.
