I have groups setup such as Cust Service and Sales wiht some overlapping users. When a call comes in to that particular department the phone flashes my group name, ie "sales Dept" quickly then says Transferring from 300. I wish to have the user able to tell if the call is directed to the sales or cust serv by what it says on the screen. This way they can answer appropriately. Can I have it not state 'transferring from 300'and only show the group?

This is from foggy memory way back so if it is wrong you got what you paid for.
There are display settings in the timers (500, 501, etc.) and one of those was supposed to show that info longer. Its been at least six years if not longer since anyone asked for that, so this is the best I can do.

How is the call being transferred?Is it a voicemail/auto attendant that is transferring the caller?What is 300 is it a voicemail/auto attendant port?

Yes the VM is transferring the call, via pressing 1 for deptA and 2 for deptB. 300 is from BIVMS, the first port on the MGI2 card i believe.

Your getting 2 cards confused voicemail and MGI2. 300 must be one of your voicemail port extensions. Typically once a call is transfered from the voicemail system on a blind transfer the call is released and your display should show the group number and group name. In cases of incomming caller ID you would lose the group name to the caller ID number/name. It says you have a SVMi-16 which should be doing blind transfers to the groups. There are no timers you can adjust for this display where the system is showing you transfer from 300 unfortunately. It sounds like I'm missing some info here or something isn't programmed right in your system. In cases where you can't get the display to show what you want you can program buttons for each company to identify the incomming call. Basically you would use a DP (direct pick up) with the extender of the group on it. This button would flash for the incomming call for that group. You could label it with the department name. This being a second option if we can't figure out how to fix your current situation.

It does say the group name for about 1/10 of a second then it says transferring from 300.

Look at 501 Display Delay Timer and play with the time. We had this same problem with someone years ago.
I can't remember for sure if there was a remedy but it was probably eight years ago that we brought the issue up with Samsunk.

I am having the same problem here. when i transfer to a group i get "Transfer FM 2017" where 2017 is the VM port.
i played with the timers in 501 to no avail without finding a solution.
