I have several general question I hope I can get help with.
1. When a call is not answered for some Subscribers an annoucement is played that the call was not answered to try another press this, to leave a message press this, or to dial the operator press this. My customer wants to get rid of it on the subsribers which are doing it.
2. When Dialing 0 for the operating internally it rings 500 instead of 219(Receptionist) and rings and rings never voicemail or anything picks. This also happens in the above question #1 when a caller chooses to go to operator. It does not do it when a call chooses operator from Day Main or Night Main as well as any menu you access from the day or night main.
3. If a subscriber as is follow me forwarding to thier cell and happens to miss the call and the caller choose not to leave a message is there a way to id the call for call back?
Obviously I'm new to this and thank you in advance for any help.

I forgot this one.
Our reception/operator is ext 219 if she is unable to take a call or busy after it try 219 we want it to go to ext 216.
I am reading the manuals first but having a hard time understanding every thing.
thanks again

1) You can go to EClass block Page 1 in the SVMI, and set System Caller Options to No for all conditions. This will remove that prompt.
2) MMC 601.
find station group 500 and add member 209. next port to 501 overflow to 009
go to SG 501 and assign members 209,206 next port none
this should take care of number 2 and the added question.
3) No, not that I have heard of.

Your response to your first question is probably the subscribers not setting up the greetings on their mailboxes. If you have a user guide, there are 5 things to do to make sure the mailbox works correctly. And 2 of those 5 are greetings(hint)

Thank you BacherJr and pvj.
BachJr,
Can I access MMC 601 remotely or do I need to physically be at location?
assign members 209, 206 or 219, 216?

pvj,
Setting personal no answer greetings are not setup on the one's that the system prompts play as in question #1 above....
I'm providing addtional training to my client about skipping this step in the instructions I gave them.

Thank you both again

In all my systems in the Eclass block on page one I simply delete the prompts on the first page, all of them. That way the stuff doesn't play though the caller will still be able to press 0, dial another extension, etc. Also on page 2 of Eclass block I delete the No answer prompt, both busy prompts, and the blocked prompt in the left hand column. Also in the extension block for every extension I set on page 3, greeting, to No greeting. I do this using the template before my initial download) What this does is make it easier for the user to record a greeting. When they log into thier mailbox it's simply 5 for thier mailbox greeting. No more worries about explaining to the customer the difference between a mailbox greeting and a no answer greeting.

Yeah, I do the same thing as benb on all my systems except that instead of the no greeting setting on page 3 of the extension block, I change the mailbox block, page 1 to no mailbox greeting. The customer now only has to record one greeting, but if they want they have the option to record and store up to 9 greetings and turn them on and off at will, without you dealing with that no answer greeting/mailbox greeting issue.
