Hello.

In the SVMI Call Block>Extensions>Call option processor(Page 3 of 5 on mine)> Press 3>Page user.

I was wondering where this target was located in the block and if there was an option to editing the preferences on this target?

This screen lets you go into the block and target a certain process for when the user dial a certain options. These options normally have settings that can be modified in the block table. For example you could target the directory then latter go into the block and modify directory settings.

The problem I’m having right now is that I can’t seem to find the block for the “ Page user” option and was wondering if anyone knew where it was or if it even exist?

Thanks.

The area to set the destination for that selection is the page you are looking at (EXT block page 3.) You have to set the greeting for the user to either basic or advanced. The the options on that page become available.

Just Highlight the line and press enter.

You will probably have to design some blocks to replicate the process of putting the caller on hold or park, (I would use a dial block and have it dial feature codes for hold/page or park/page) then have that dial block overflow to a speak block which would announce the caller is in hold or park. Never have set this up before, so Im not even sure if it will work, and there may be some easier way. Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks, I do see what you are talking about. The option to page user is there but I was wondering if you wanted to actually wanted to lets say tell another number to also point to the " page user" key. You would first select a number then go to, then it would open the general block menu.

I was wondering where in this block menu do you find the " Page user" target?

In other words, if you want to edit the "Page user" block(not just assign it to a button). How do I access it from the block menu? Or is your only option to just assign it to a button(3) on the extension block?

Thank you for the valuable information. I have tried to follow the outline you gave me but I'm wondering if you could please let me know

How to get the "SPEAK BLOCK" to announce the call? Do I have to do something with the index?

Thanks for your help.

Ok.. where it says "page user" under target name, that is just a description. Its what the system announces. There is no Page User block. You have to make it happen using some combination of other blocks. Theres probably some known working formula for it, but I dont know it. You can either play with various blocks and try to get something to work, ie: dial and speak maybe.. or you can get your vendor to find out, or you can PM me and we can talk about remote assistance.

Barcherjr please take this private

Note to other readers and posters in this board. This board is here to help others without technical knowledge administer there systems and get through some of the basic and admin functions that are available in the guides and manual that should have come with your system.

With that said many of the posts you have read including this one contain information that is much more complicated and requires a vendor/installer to apply for you. Should you decide to attempt to program in these areas you could affect the use of your system adversely and or cause a service call that would have otherwise been unneeded.

Please understand that we are willing and able to help, after all that is why we are here but information like this should be conveyed in private or in the installer section of the board.
