I always use a Norton Ghost to make a image from a SVMI (Disk or Flash) and I ghost a bad disk or flash SVMI. If none of this is available just send this SVMI to Samsung, seems like a bad disk. You say that you have used norton Ghost image file to fix a corrupted file on the drive?
It sounds like this problem has also happened to you a few times. Its really great that you had the idea of backing up an image in case you had to fix a hard drive that crashed or files that got corrupted.
Let me ask you, do you happen to know around how large this ghosted image file is?
Is hard drive image and flash based image are the same?
The SVMI is always resetting itself night. Perhaps it was stuck in the middle of a read/write process when it reset itself causing a corrupted file?
I might need your help once I get my IDE to laptop hard drive adaptor or repair the hard drive corrupted files.
