I was wondering if the SVMI had the ability to record only the phone calls which called into certain a phone number.
Instead of setting up the recording per extension number, I was wondering it there was a way that it could record only calls which came into a certain phone number.
The same extension may handle both calls that need to be recorded( who call in on the special number) and calls from regular numbers( who don’t need to be recorded)
The reason I ask is that only certain type of calls in my business need to be recorded and the SVMI only have 4 ports which is not enough to blindly record everything and be used as a voicemail and auto attendant at the same time.
Thanks.

The simplest way is to add a call record button to that users keyset. When calls come in on that specific trunk, the user can simply press the button.

may not be enough lines to record everything. You are limited to 4 ports at any 1 time.

Okay ,if your system is OS 100.500,7200,7400 with corresponding software version , set those numbers (MMC 714) to ring to a virtual extension (if is low traffic incoming calls) or to a group stations (for heavy incomings calls, and put some virtual extensions) ,then MMC 743 to this or those virtual extensions ON, d’t forget to put CC(call coverage) for virtual extensions, for Operator or any stations supposed to ring on incoming calls(set MMC 502 for CC delay).I hoope help you.

Since this is a SVMi4 and only have 4 channels, you are going to have problems. Don't forget that call record eats up a lot of storage space along with the other messages. You need to take in consideration the following: Auto attendant, outcalling, internal access to voicemail, call forwarding and I think you only get 100 hrs of storage time on the unit.
