Hi guys, I’ve OS 7200 2.66 with MGI16 and SVMI20 4 ports and works .Now the client want 10 more ITP5021 for a new department(local IP phones) and require the power for those IP’s provided by the Samsung OS 7200 cabinet on the SAME networking CAT 6 cable used for the local network between all desktop workstations with a DLINK 24 ports no PoE switch. Ok i’ve a PLIM on stock no problem, and the standard for PoE requires for the device providing power on the Ethernet cable(PLIM) to send test signals to the connected equipment to ensure it is ready and able to accept power before actually enabling the power on the cable. If you connect a device that is not expecting power over the Ethernet cable into a PoE switch , no power will be provided and the device is safe. So you need to connect all networking cables with need ITP phones on the PLIM module then uplink to DLINK client switch for put all networking devices on the same local network, and should by okay. My point is if when i connect a workstation pc computer on the PC port of ITP 2 port internal switch the client workstation STILL safe (LAN port on ITP’s is ok)? The ITP 2 port switch(LAN and PC label), still enable to do the same standard industry PoE test signal for non PoE devices ? Someone already installed PLIM with this scenario requirements? :bang:

I have not had your same requirements but I am 95% sure you are safe. I asked this question some time ago and recieved the okey dokey from Samsung. The ITP should not pass power Did they tell you different?
