Company has roughly 50 Doctors offices. The Admin office has a 500R2, 2cabinet with SVMI16E. Would it be possible to network this many phone systems together back to the Admin phone system?

Yes. The 500 can handle up to 99 nodes. With that said you will more than likely have to ad hardware to the system to make this happen and the other systems need to be in the OS line. Either the 7000 series or the 100's and 500's.
As it stands right now I can not tell you if your system as it sits can do it without knowing in detail what hardware you have in the system and the versions of software.

The system has 2.69 software MGI2 TEPRI- using T1 MCP2 SCP2 LCP2 16 DLI cards 16 SLI cards
I know that I will have to upgrade some of my office systems to R2. I've just never networked systems together. Been through class and certified but not done it in the real world. I just like getting the advice from techs that have actually done it.

Mainly the 4 digit dialing between offices. Maybe central operator. Not sure it would be a good idea sharing SVMI between that may offices. Do you think it could handle that many users and call volume?

I wouldn't think you would have enough ports to handle the traffic with a centralized SVMI

I highly recommend getting that MGI 2 out and use MGI 16's across the board. You will need matching system sw across the board too.

I was going to suggest the same thing. The MGI 16 has a better processor and software on it and comes with a lot more channels.

If you want to get a edge on the deal... 1)Do a network assessment 2) set them up with a private voice network between the 50 doctors 3) do voicemail in each system to cover the weird after hours on-call for each system and office hours 4) look at the number plan, system extensions will change 5)change all systems to 4 digit 6) make real sure you only use the MGI16 7) all system software should match 2.69 8) all other card software needs to be updated with current releases 9) if you are using DID's maybe this would be the time to move them from 4 digit to 10 digit to give you more room to work 10) get voice prority on the network. This is a large undertaking so I would also do a project plan to cover you and your customer. If I'm not mistaken, network calls will act differently on transfers than direct calls so watch out for them wanting to use the autoanswer feature...WHEW I know there is more but this would be a start
