I am a Vodavi tech and have never worked on a Samsung DCS Compact. It has 3 2x4 digital boards, 1 4 port co card and 1 2 port sli card. My techs removed a unit a couple of years ago and I would like to sell it on Ebay, however I need to make sure it powers up and works. I have plugged in a DCS LCD 12B telephone and can't get anything on the display. None of the buttons will function. It seems that the phone is unplugged. I've tried it as a 1 pair and as a 2 pair system and neither seems to work. I have also tried using both amphenol ports. I assume the station amphenol is in the top of the ksu and co's in the middle .;? I have tried using white blue / blue white as well as w/b b/w - w/o-o/w. The ram pack 1 just blinks steadily. Do I have to turn on a hidden dipswitch somewhere ? Am I on the wrong pairs ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The stations will pin out on both amphenols. On the middle amphenol start at the Red/blue pair and it goes for 8 pairs. On the top amphenol it starts at black/brown pair and goes to the end(last 12 pairs). The phones are single pair.If the LED on the Ram1 is flashing the system should be running. The only dipswitch on the Ram1 card is to turn the battery backup on for the memory.

Thanks a lot. I wouldn't have guessed they started on the red pairs.
