7200 4.14 new mgi v1.20

ok so i have set up a 4 channel mgi with sip trunks working fine, but need more channels so got an mgi 16 with 8 sip stack license.

put new card into system, can pull the trunks ok, dial out ok but no inbound speech path, on the sip or on ip handsets. did an ethereal trace all looks ok other than the mgi card still looks like it's in tftp mode: asking for the tftp server.

put old card back in, all ok again.

suspected faulty card, new one sent.. installed same problem.

none of the settings have changed however i did overwrite them again with the keyset just to be sure, ie public ip address of mgi.. public/with firewall etc..

old card goes back in. no problems.

also on the new card the svc light and the run light flash very rapidly and continuously, whereas the old one has a steady run light and an "gentle" on/off. the dsp, rtpt and rtpr flash only when in use on the old card but again go mental on the new one.

is this normal for an mgi16, can't say i've ever looked closely at them until now.

any thoughts

Did you ever find out what the issue was? I am having the same problem. We are upgrading from a 7100 to a 7200, we have brought a MGI16 and can get inbound and outbound calls but no inbound voice.

Just to let you know, everything is now working, it was the external IP Address, it was out by one number, that what you get taking over an install that someone else has started
