My customer has a starmail on a DCS Compact. Starmail stopped ringing extensions or outdialing. I can call starmail on both ports and customer can VT caller to mailboxes OK. Would this be the analog card, the hard drive or the cabinet? My guess is the analog card but any help would be appreciated.

In don't think that the Starmail has the VT feature. That started with the Cadence and followed with the SVMi series. Is this a new install or existing? Are the extensions programmed in the Starmail? Are the set for privacy?

You call in, get the Starmail, dial an extension and nothing happens? Is this the situation?

I beleive the customer is using VT but I'll check again. When dialing an extension from main greeting, extension does not ring and caller kicks back to main greeting. Outdialing to beepers stopped working as well. I'm now thinking it is the analog port card or the 2SLI card on the Compact.

I have a Prostar 816 Plus that used to have an ESI labeled box. It worked fine until the hard drive crashed. I replaced it with a Starmail box and now when I dial an extension from the outside, I get the busy message for every extension. I checked the privacy list and no extensions are currently setup. I also tried the card from the old ESI system and get the same results. I double checked all setting in the Starmail manual for the 816. Any ideas?

You know the customer's number, dial in and when getting the main greeting, dial an extension and see if it answers.
I have lots of analog Starmail cards that I'll never use, you can try one if you want to see if it is the port card.

When I try to dial any extension, I get the on hold music for a few seconds than the "Extension Is Busy" message. I don't think it a port card problem but then I'm rather new to this. I tried my port card from the ESI system I had (that was working until the drive crashed) and got the same results. Thanks for the reply!
