What? Iwatsu has been around for a hundred years. They were (are) the manufacturing arm for the state-run telco in Japan and in several other countries.

Any company that makes nothing but phone systems won't be around in two years. Count on it.

In addition to being the electric company in Japan, Iwatsu also manufactures oscilloscopes- very , very good oscilloscopes, test and measuring equipment and reprographic systems. They are in no way a one-trick-pony.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Paul, You stated the Iwatsu is "bulletproof". Is your office in a high crime area? Are you worried about drive by shootings? (just a little humor guys).

We wear Kevlar jackets under our suits while we work, so our phone system needs to be able to take some punishment. Just kidding, we live a in a farm community, where the streets are bare at 8pm.

All of your input has been extremely valuable in helping me and the owners decide that Samsung is the one we are going to choose for our phone system. To top it off, the Samsung vendor we have been working with has been top-notch and straight-forward with us the entire time. He in fact, offered to try and fix our Comdial system if we didn't want to buy new. That offer alone spoke volumes to us as to he really wanted to meet our needs not to just sell us a phone system.

Perhaps we can adopt a mantra like the realty companies. Vendor, vendor, vendor.

I stand corrected on Iwatsu, I thought they only did phones.

Yes, vendor is most important component always.

Now that your going with the samsung, have your dealer build the system so you have more room for the future, get him to use the 16dli card so you get max ports without filling up the universal cards and look at the new OS series handsets if they are available in NZ

Thanks for the "Heads Up". I just reviewed the quote and it includes the 16DLI card. We took a look at the OS series Handsets and they were wider than our current phone. I have limited desk space, so the OS series phones are just a little too wide for me. Thanks! laugh

Actually, we are getting the iDCS28D phone. It is kinda of funny, because everyone in the office thinks they look just like our 24 button Comdial Impact phones, basically the same dimensions. In fact, I flipped over my phone halfway expecting it to say "Made by Samsung".
