I have been asked to program a Samsung 500, I have the manuals and tech support but it's limited. The customer has divided their office and would like two auto attendants for 2 different DID #'s. Currently the AA picks up all calls and gives CCR choices. Is this possible? My tech support doesn't know. Also, I was programming group 501 and I was trying to get it to overflow to voicemail. It wasn't working and just kept ringing the phones. In time past and before the previous tech the customer said they had a mailbox. What #? No one knows and I couldn't find any thing in the groups. Thanks.

The answer is yes, this system does support tennant service. You will need to arrange programming support with and admin or mod of the Samsung using the PM feature. We do not support this level of programming in the open forums. The open forums are for customer level programming and user features.

Larry, First thing is it an AA card or a voicemail/AA answering the callers? If it's a voicemail system then what we need to know most is what kind of voicemail system is it? A Cadence,SVMi series? You will also need to connect to the voicemail system if that is in fact answering the callers.

Paul makes a good point about the AA card or voicemail AA. If you have the SVmi8 be sure to check if it is an SVMi8e. Best to check the number of ports too, you might have traffic considerations if you start answering for multi- tennant operation.

It's a SVMi but I don't know the ports or level. The customer couldn't access programming on her terminal because of a connection issue. I was doing all programming thru the phone. If it is too difficult then I can convince her to put the 2 companies onto one menu and then breakout from there. How about part II of the Q? I have 3 phones in an unconditional ringing group, I put overflow to 20 seconds and then I tried an extension with a vmail box and I also tried 529 but I couldn't get out of the group.

It sounds like you did not program "next port" in the ring group.

Larry,
Everything you are asking is possible and it’s a fairly simple process, however we cannot give that information out on the public side of the forum.
