Will an Impact 24 button small display phone work on a DXP with a DXDST 16 card. they have those digital executech phones on it now and I put a impact phone on it and it wont come up but I didnt go into programming to define that station port as an impact phone I thought they defaulted to that? I can take my laptop with VMMI back but i just want to make sure before I trek 2 hours one way
If its not broken then dont fix it.

Are their any other Impacts on the system? You may have a software restricted system that will not allow Impact sets.

The Comdial executech phone was analog with a different card in the dxp to work. If you are plugging into the same card as these are on it will not work.

some of the executech are 2 wire digital sets. Its a REL 9b in programming when I go to (2) stations then (4) phone types it doesnt list IMPACT. IS there an upgrade I need and is it a software or hardware?
If its not broken then dont fix it.

It's a software upgrade that resides on a piggyback board mounted on the CPU. On a system that old you'll probably have to upgrade the CPU and Services board also.
