I have a few customers who use a basic AA on incoming calls to identify the callers reason for calling. ie, call goes to the voicemail of group 501 instantly, the caller options for this extension (in voicemail) are set with press one for sales group (502), press two for service group (503). All works fine, and the phones in the extension group for these options ring and display the group name on incoming calls as would be expected (most phones are in both groups, so the display is important for them to know how to answer the call)
However, a few of these customers now have CLI active on the PSTN lines, and if I activate CLI on the trunks, the display of the phone will only flash the group name on the incmong call for a second or less, before changing the display to the incoming CLI and "transfer from 30x" (the voicemail extension the call is coming from).
Is there any way to have the screen show the incoming CLI and the group name at the same time (like it shows CLI and indial name/group on incoming DID calls)? I have tried every combination I can think of and still have the same result!
Systems are 7100's and 7030's running 4.30k and 4.30l, no difference on either.
Cheers, Dave.

I had this same problem about a month ago - and no there is no way to show both. Either they have the CLI turned on (which does not show the group name) or you turn it off so that the group name displays. Tech Support said there was not a way to display both. Hope that helps.

Doesnt help, but does answer the question! It's a shame, as the info is there for a split second, but by the time you look at the phone its changed to the extension number of the Voicemail transferring the call to you. Should be an option box as to what to show in this situation.
Will have to look at alternatives (though not real sure what!)
Thanks heaps, Dave.

Something is odd here. None of my handsets have a display. Just a mic and speaker with a cord attaching it to the keyset. Ok joking around aside. I could swear that I have the cli on top and the group/number in that fasion on the bottom row. I was working on getting OS call to display more than and extension number when I fell across this. I will be going on site monday so I can check that out while doing my other work. If that is the case I will report it here but I could just be getting old

FYI the next release of software will take care of this. You can specify per line what you want to see. Partial caller ID and the group name etc... I am testing this as we speak. the caller id program name or number is changed to allow more info.

I have had the same problem and was given a work-around by a good member here(FONEFXR).
You can put a virtual extension in each ring group and button map the virtual extension on the phones. Label the virtual extension with the ring group #. When there is a call for that group the virtual ext. will light. Set DPU to on and the virtual ext. will flash and you can press it to answer the group.

Thats a good option, however, ver 4.41 was just released down here and I fired it up into a new system yesterday and all is good. Works great for DDI and Groups!

You guys down there are light years ahead of the US market. I cant tell whether you are the test bed or if Korea just wants to keep us in the dark ages.
