We're getting a error on the display of our main phone that says "VM ALERT (KP)". The error does go away, and the phone system seems to be working properly. When I see the "VM ALERT (VM)" message, it usually means that the SVMi-8 just quit working and needs to be defaulted. Has anyone seen the "KP" message before? What is it?

Thanks!

What I would do is to log into the svmi and run a scandisk to see if that helps. Also under the root delete the .chk files. I have seen this do alot of good.

Thanks for the info, but does anyone know what the "KP" portion of the message means? I've seen plenty of messages with the "VM" and those are never good.

I believe the KP means that the particular message is coming from the ksu processor. I see this message on the screen of IP sets when they are logging into a KSU, when the set sees the processor KP shows up in the display. Which for me is a happy thing.

What system is this SVMI8 in?

You might want to check the voicemail to see if the hard drive is getting full, maybe a mailbox is set up that has many many messages that could be deleted. There are a number of things that could cause the hard drive to get full depending on your setup.
