Hi All,
I'm going through the programming examples in the Docs for both switches but it shows the setup just using a Local network with the GATEWAY as 192.168.1.1
So what do I replace the GATEWAY with if I'm going out over the internet?
I'm using a Static IP and port forwarding on both sides.
The 500 has 1 Lan address for the MCP and 1 Lan address for the MGI with all the port forwarding set up according to the DOCs.
I can also access remote programming to the 500 with the static IP fine but can't get an ITP-5121D to connect remote.
Also, is there any programming concerning IP stuff that I can't do remote and can only do onsite using MMC's with Keyset?
Thanks in advance

The gateway is the local router. To connect via the WAN you need to put the static public IP address in Public IP Address fields.
To get the systems talking to each other you need to configure the System Link ID information.
As far as not being able to get the ITP phone to talk to the system from the WAN, you need to make sure the correct ports are open in the router on the system side. The ports to connect with OSM and IT are completely different that the ports to connect an ITP phone. You will also need specific ports opened in order for the systems to communicate via the WAN when networked.
Networking systems is very easy, but it is also very complicated. If you miss one step, you will have problems.

Thanks for the reply Marc,
That's what I finally did and got the ITP phone to connect from my shop last night, I then took the 7030 out to the site today but when I dial the OS500 the display on the phone reads No response and from the 500 side and I can only get to the 7030 by dialing trkgrp-node-ext. I've gone over the programming and had tech support go over it with me and they say it should work the way it's set up but no dice.
I'm going to do a search on here and see If I can find something.
Thanks again
