We have just purchased and installed an Office Serv7200 two cabinets- and the installer is telling us that it takes a "few" days to get the licneses for the software because they need to be generated from "Korea" then the next day he tells me that they had the wrong "MAC" address for the system.... this all sounds like BS- why would he be giving me the run around? any ideas? who can i contact in Samsung support to get the licenses that we are supposed to have?
Thanks!!

Hi intertel-marin,
Most likely your dealer is being honest with you. In fact, I had to delay an installation today because I haven't received a license that I need from Samsung.
I have also gotten a couple of licenses in the past that were for the wrong MAC. The licenses really do come from Korea and they do the licenses for every system in the world, so they do get behind occasionally.

Thanks!!
I would think that he had all this all ready to go, we paid for the system in December- why does it take so long?
Thanks for your response, I appreciated.

Agree with Marc, they take time and occasionally they do get the MAC address wrong.

Other problems can occur too. We recently had a licence request rejected due to the system being "already deemed DOA and sent for repair"
After a long investigation, it turned out another dealer had transposed two digits of the MAC address on a system they applied for licences on. Once allocated, the licences can not be removed from that system. The only option is to re-apply for the licence stating the original system had died and need to be replaced.
Unfortunatley, we were the poor suckers who had the system with the MAC address that the other dealer had accidentally used for their licence request.
It meant that our system could not be licenced and would have to be returned! We eventually got out of it, as we were able to get hold of the licence key originally supplied to our MAC address by mistake, and fortunatley it was fort he same things we required. Will stuff us up if we ever need to apply for additional licences, but in the mean time it got the customer up and running.
Mistakes can happen, and dont forget the MAC addresses are unique world wide. So the fact that this other dealer that made the error was also in Australia was just a coincidence - they could have just as easily been on the other side of the world!
Hang in there, they will sort it out for you.

I agree with the previous answers. The dealer is being honest, those licenses are a pain. Add in the fact that the licenses are coming from a source that is in Korean language in the subject matter. That often times is blocked by ISPs.
