Hi everyone,
Im going crazy.
We have a Officeserv 500 and upgraded from a SVM-800 to a SVMi-8e its been a nightmare.
First issue was that the SVMI-8 card would not accept faxes or recognise the # to check messages remotely and was told the card was "faulty" by our installer and the people that sold us the card.
I since purchased another card as the US dealer that sold it to me has disappeared, and still can not get access to a mailbox using the # like on the previous SVM-800
All I want to achieve is staff being able to ring their extensions and get the voicemail remotely like they used to on the SVM-800
This just required you to press # during the greeting and it directed you to a "Please enter your pin"
Anyone have a thought on this?
The card is defaulted FYI
Thanks in advance!

Pressing # while listening to the greeting should get you to the "please enter your password" prompt like the SVM-800.
You need a fax Daughterboard to receive faxes on the SVMi series cards.
I don't know if the VM software/card is different in the US from AU.
If you PM me I can get you a list of dealers in your area

The first card was a US Edition card, the second a GB edition card.
I had the extra 4 port (inc fax) daughter board installed on the US card, and since removed it to move to the GB SVMI-8 card, but I've just been configuring it and the hard disk has died with a "Operating System Not Found" error. Luckily I made a image of the hard disk before I started because the HD sounded dodgy.
The hash # is just getting me nowhere, although the log on the GB card seems to recognise the hash over the US card just saying "Unknown key" in the log.

Have you verified that in MClass bottom of page 1 has "Digit to Logon as User" = # Also, you may want to take a look at pg1 of Day menu, night menu, Direct Trunk, Direct Station, Forward Trunk, Forward Station and verify Administration = #.

You need to be at the main greeting in order to press # and log into your mailbox. It goes # plus mailbox number, then you'll be prompted for a password.
If you do not have the SVMi set up to function as an auto attendant you'll need the receptionist, or whoever answers the phone to press Voice Mail Transfer and hang up; this will send you to the main system greeting that is active in the current mode. Then press # and your mailbox number, then enter the mailbox password.

FYI - After many months of hassles, the GB software solved my FAX issues and the # now works, the issue being the pin number can not be the default or it just kicks you out of the system..
Additionally it doesnt seem that changing the PIN from the telnet actually changes the mailbox pin

You need to change the mailbox password in both EXT and MBX blocks via telnet/serial
