Hello all. I occasionally have to hope and poke around in this system and I am having trouble poking the right spots... When the voicemail systems picks up you can dial a mailbox by extension number or you can dial a mailbox by a directory list ( press 1 for so and so, 2 for him, 3 for her, etc..) When dialing the extension all mailbox's work fine. The problem is press 1 for so and so does not work, I get "sorry, that is not a valid entry". All other single digit transfers to mailbox's work fine. Its just the one mailbox that should be linked to the number 1 that is causing some grief. I can not seem to find where the systems associates a "shortcut" to the mailbox. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to access the voicemail with Hyperterm or some other emulation program and set the target generators in the appropriate menu.

Thanks for the reply Bobby. I have been all in the SVMi4 menus thru Hyperterminal looking for the right place. I can see all the mailbox's and extensions, but I can not seem to find where a key press of 1 or 2 or 3 is linked to any mailbox. I looked thru all mailboxs and extensions hoping to find a difference with the problem mailbox, but nothing is popping out at me.

You need to access the appropriate menus.

I fingured it out. From SVMi4 System Main Menu, navigate to: Open Block Table ==> Menu ==> Day/Night/HOliday/Off Premise ==> Page 2. Here you will find the menu pointers where the caller can dial extension by pressing a single digit.

When you are looking at the menus make sure that you change the mode from default to the mode that you are working on.Page #2
