Hi there,

I'm new of this forum and I will take the opportunity immediately to ask for your help.
I have an officeserv 100 installed in my office and I would like to reserve one of my line for my fax machine. It has already a internal number (216) and I want that it commitments the line 702 when I send the fax.
thanks in advance

First of all, thanks a million for your reply. My line is an analogic line. I will not call for assistance because this have a cost....I prefer to learn something instead to spend money for this kind of things.
thanks again

ico,
Does your office charge customers ie have a cost? It works both ways.
Anyway, you will need to know how to access programming and have the passcode for the system.

For sending a fax,

I'm thinking a simple off-hook, hot line dialing of 702 with a timer of 0 for your fax's ext (216)
This would always connect your fax with that outside line when it picks up the line to dial. This would relieve the need to begin an outgoing fax call with a 9.

If the line 2 is busy the fax would recieve a busy signal.

I'm not sure of the procedure of the setup on the OfficeServ 100. Its an MMC of its own in the Customer Level programming.

You need to set mmc 307 for off hook selection and like ASK said, set the off hook selection timer in system timers.

Well thenthere is one of probably many differences between European and North American systems.Regardless, look for off hook selection that's what you need to set.
