i having a problem with my pri.
quite frequently through out the day some one will be on a call on the pri, and the customer on the other can no longer hear our tech. the tech can hear them just fine however.

what seems odd as you can put the customer on hold and pick them back up and it fixes the issue temporarily. it is isolated to just the 1 pri.

It also seems isolated to a 1 channel on the pri.

the card is a tepri2.

looking at the pri's router for the call there seems to be no packet loss or issues on the side of the pri it seems to be after the pri hits the phone system.

Have you checked the OS service Log?

Is there a CSU between you and the telco such as an Adtran CSU ACE?

How is the timing set up? We have seen problem like this when CSUs have their timing - network/equip set up wrong.

Make sure it is getting its timing from the telco/network and not the equipment side.

the router derives time from the network i believe.

how to tell the pri in Samsung where to get its timing i'm not sure.

Have you had the network provider monitor the circuit? I am no expert in this field but that is the first thing I would do. Maybe they could see a fault and tell what end it was on.

yes we have been monitoring very closely on both sides and have not seen any sign of where the issue is from.

i have been continually researching this issue. we are not getting any control slips on the circuit provider side so i believe it is something on my side. that also leads me away from a timing issue.

it is still only 1 channel having the issue. "6008"
ps replaced the tepri2 card a few weeks ago.

We have never seen a bad 7000 series PRI card yet.

Have the telco disable the 'bad' channel and deprogram that trunk on the system. 22 vs 23 channels should not be a big deal.
