I'm connecting four systems 7400, 7200s, and (2) 7100's using MGI/SPNET. Traffic will be mainly be between the 7400 to the other systems but there will be some between the others also. How many SPNet licenses should I have for each?

Thanks

Thanks that's the way I understood it to work also. So here is what I have. Presently I have the 2 7100s connected, I have 4 MGI and 1 SPNet licenses for each. No problem making the first call. But a second call can not be made till the first hangs up. It rings and you can pick up but no audio. I'm thinking not having enough ports open by the IT guy. Is my thinking correct?

Sounds like only 30,000 is open instead of the whole range

Since your running V4.4x (evident by the requirement for SPNET license) have you turned on No MGI in MMC820 and are you using IP phones?
If so you will need to forward the MPS ports as well

Running V4.46d. I'm being tolded by the IP guys that they have 30000 to 30031 open. And yes I do have No MGI on. The same on both systems. I will ask them to show me the port they opened maybe that will help.

You will need to add udp 40000-40127 also to the OAS card.

Make sure they have the 30000 ports to the OAS card not the MP card.

Been a few days, I got to see the settings in the router (Juniper) and they do have 30000 - 30031 open. The two systems that I'm setting up right now are 7100's. Later I will be adding the 7200s and 7400. So would I still need the 40000 - 40127? The 7400 will have a OAS card.

No MGI in MMC820 must be On or Off in this case?
