Customer has OS500 with MGI 16 card. They used to have issues with one way audio, choppy calls etc. which has been resolved by IT people (QOS)but now they will IP phones will loose connection and will need to reset MGI card for them to come back up. Any Ideas?

IP address conflict is what I always start with.

Not sure if you can set up wireshark to do some traces, but we had a customer with a 2 cabinet 500 system. They had similar issues which ended up being caused by attacks to the phone system on port 5060 (sip attempts). SPnet would drop and remote itp users couldn't connect. Their IT personel created some firewall rules which helped elminate this.

I need to clarify. Problem is not losing connection but choppy calls and poor audi quality. IT vendor has given QOS priority at all points. Today I had customer set up IP phone on the Lan to see if problem shows up as well.

Bmreen, if there was an IP address conflict I would thimk resetting MGI would have no effect but the reset seems to clear the problem for awhile.
