I believe the short-lived OS7100 *lite* only supports a uni module in slot #1 and can't be expanded. Is this limitation caused by the cabinet, the MP10, the firmware, or a combination ?
Basically what needs to be replaced so the system can be expanded, please PM if the answer isn't for general distribution.

Oddly its the MP10 that stops the last slot being used. I changed the chasis over and it would not boot until i changed the mp10 and reprogrammed.

Dead right - though be careful with some of the chassis - Samsung filled the connector on the backplane with glue to stop a card being installed!!
They did the same with the last slot in the OS7200 Lite too.
You'll definately have to swap the Processor card out - you'll replace with MP10a now as the MP10 is end of life.
