I know this has probably been asked before, I read other posts on it and looked at the Special applications manual Part 2 May 2009 and just can't get it. I have an OS 7100 with the latest software using the on board MGI and the keycode for the MGI. The network on the local side is a public IP address 24.152.xxx.xxx to a Linksys router with local addresses 192.168.1.100-199 In MMC 830 I made the address of the OS 7100 192.168.1.175 I put that address on the DMZ and port forwarded ports 6100, 6000, 30,000-30,031 to 192.168.1.175 on the remote side I have a public IP address of 24.104.xxx.xxx to a linksys router with ports 192.168.1.100-199 I put 192.168.1.175 on the DMZ and Port Forwarded 6100, 6000, 30,000-30,031 to 192.168.1.175. In programing the SMTI 5210 I used the address of 192.168.1.175 for the SMTI 5210 and 24.152.xxx.xxx for the OS 7100. The phone shows time date and display. If I call my cell phone I can hear myself on the SMTI 5210 but I can't hear the SMTI 5210 side. If I call another extension from the SMTI 5210 I can hear them and they cannot hear me. If I move the phone to the Lan site and change the SMTI 5210 IP address to something in that sides range and put 192.168.1.175 in for the OS 7100 address it works fine. Please tell me what I missed?
Thanks in Advance, John

Have you set MGI to Publc with Private? Are you using sip trunks? I would probably change the static local address of the ITP handset so it didnt match the 7100, even though it is on the remote side. Never have i opened ports on the remote side, only the local.

No were not using Sip trunks. Just plain Cot. Until I opened 9000 and 9001 on the remote side I had no audio at all. I have not set MGI to public to private yet and if I read things correctly I should also put the Public IP address of the local side in there too. Is that correct?
Thanks, John

Thanks T.C. It was as simple as forgetting to set Public with private.
Thanks again, John
