We closed our district office about six months ago. I went in yesterday to check the phones so we can rent out the building. I found all the phones saying "No Communication". When I connected through VMMI it said "You have connected to a system with an invalid Key" It also told me to reinstall the software. I tried to upload my last saved database, but this didn't work. I have no idea what the Key # is, and I don't have the software to download anymore. Looking at the database, I had "Release #194.00 or later", and "Feature Set 17c" Any ideas? Can I find the Key # in one of my old databases? Thanks Casey

You Need the Key before You can reload the Database...Might be able to check with your Dealer? IF they kept good records. Usually when the system is New, it comes with a piece of paper that has the Key on it.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel..

You will need your original dealer or another comdial dealer to get the key for you. The key is what locks the software with certain features. If power was turned off to the PBX for a length of time it loses the key.

There are a number of Comdial dealers in the Fresno area that could help you.
