Our data center is located in the basement of our building. Our two way pagers work down there but not consistently. I've seen prices for cellular repeaters as low as $250 in some cases.
Does anyone out there have any experience installing Cellular Repeaters? Or have any recommendations based on what you've used?

We've done a couple of installs with equipment from these people: www.cellantenna.com The equipment works well and is simple to install.

I agree with skip, had a customer that was on the Mike network (equivalent to Nextel) and the 2-way wasn't working that great in their new factory. The provider installed a repeater to keep them as a customer.

www.primecellular.com Tell them Signal referred you. I'm not actually sure they have repeaters that will work with pagers, but they know their stuff. Check them out.

Just curious If your Data Center is in the basement . Won't that be the first part of the building to flood ?

make sure the repeater is compatable with your cellphone providers service. There are a few different protocol/system types.

A great source for Cellular Repeaters is www.cellboosterstore.com - there you can get Cellular Repeaters. You should definitely make sure you are buying one for the right frequency for your network - the best way to find out is to use www.wirelessadvisor.com These things can really help your cell phone reception - have a look here: Cellular Repeater
