I would also like to know the General part number for White/Blue cross-connect. I looked on their web-site, but could not find it.
Our Graybar is only stocking the sucky kind as well.

I have a spool of Superior Essex cross-connect wire on my van. Don't know which "type" it is but I hate it. Hardly any twist at all.

You want the f-type like others have said. The part number above is correct.

Hey, thanks for the quick replies. I went to the web site for General Cable. I found the F-type cross connect wire mentioned in this post. Specs says it has a minimum of 4 twists per foot. I then found the cross connect wire we use, part #7026156 and the specs for it says it has a minimum of 6 twists per foot. I measured out a foot of this wire and could count maybe 3 twists per foot, maybe. Since we use a 2-pair plus tracer wire, what we have is the only type General makes of that cross connect. Not sure where to go from here but thanks again for the posts. Anyone ever have any DS1 or DS3 questions, feel free to email me, it's all I work with.

Thanks Hbiss, Graybar is special ordering either the F or G series for us. The cheapo crossconnect just looks and handles awful around mushrooms.

You might do better from CSC and they usually have type F in stock.
Keep in mind that you cannot use type G indoors, the insulation is not rated for it much like OSP cable. It is only for use in outdoor crossboxes.
