Like it's been said here on several posts, 1st place to ask is your cable dealer. They might also rent them.

Check with your dealer first, but here's two popular models....
Fluke DTX1800 - certifies copper and fiber 1 gig to 10 gig capability.
Wirescope Pro certifies copper and fiber 1 gig to 10 gig capability. 10 gig requires alien cross-talk simulators.
I have a friend that is familiar with the certification requirements for these standards.

For and inexpensive solution, I would suggest "The Certifier" by Byte Brothers.
It performs all standard tests and can store up to 250 results.
Can also perform a Level II certification by inserting the tester between the switch (Rack) and the device (PC). Giving you real-time actual data speeds.
It also performs simple troubleshooting functions, such as a Tone generator, Wire Map tester, (and My Favorite) the Port Beacon.
There are many better testers out there, such as the Fluke, but this is a nice alternative when you need 3 or 4 for your field techs.

The Byte Brothers actually is a qualifier. If you're looking into just qualification, why not the CableIQ from Fluke? It's about $400 more bux, but "it's a Fluke".

Another inexpensive tester is the Validator from Test-Um. We have one and it has worked well. https://www.test-um.com/home.asp

If you are required to certify the cabling system, the following testers for Category 5e and Category 6 are suitable:
Ideal Industries LANTEK 6 Agilent WireScope 350 Fluke Networks DSP-4x00 CableAnalyzer Fluke Networks OMNIScanner2
If you are looking to the future and Category 6A 500 MHz or 10GBASE-T 500 MHz, then you are limited in choice:
Fluke Networks' DTX-1800 CableAnalyzer with DTX-10GKIT for Alien Crosstalk testing Ideal Industries LANTEK 7 (No Alien Crosstalk Option) Agilent WireScope Pro with SwiftAXT option for testing Alien Crosstalk
If you are not required to certify the cabling system, as required by all cabling vendors to get their warranty, you may wish to look to a "Qualification Tool" such as:
Fluke Networks' Cable IQ Ideal Industries SignalTek
Note how I have excluded the Test-um and RWC here. This is because the Test-um does not make FEXT measurements and the RWC is an enhanced wire map tester that takes 90 secs to do a test.
CableIQ has been incredibly successful and well received. Yes I am from Fluke Networks but the CableIQ is far easier to use than the Signal Tek with less probablity of operator error. As always, it is down to personal preference, so give them all a try.
Kind regards

Adrian,
Are you nuts??? I want those extra 84 seconds for the RWC to test my cables. It gives me time to walk back and forth :-)
