I need to cerify/test some Cat5e/6 runs. Would like to rent something in the OmniScanner class of certification/testing devices. Let me know if you have one you would rent or where I could rent one. Thanks

I don't know of a place that rents them. Did you try Accu-Tech? Call Jim Mc. he may know of a place. When do you need it , I may be able to help you out some how.

Probably sometime next week. I'm busy trying to do a triage of reterminating all this crap first... after that i'll worry about testing... trying to talk them into getting a real wire-guy in here to re-do their mess. I'd so love to have some patch panels put in!

Same here. I've worked with Sidekick and KS meters for years and I have never seen a Sidekick that will generate test results and reports. I don't see how it can test/measure all four pairs at once and compare them. Is there a newer version of the Sidekick? I'd surely like to get one. Are you onto something, A Dying Breed?

i used test-um. it pretty cheap and you can draw up the building with it and place the phones in and computers on the drawing and it will do cat 5 and 6 and you can do print out. here is a web site and you can get them at graybar they work good www.testequipmentdepot.com/testum/testver/nt955.htm
