Hey guys, A customer of mine asked me if it was possible to run a phone line and a data line to the center of their conference room. The floor is carpet over concrete. I am not sure how I would go about running the cables because there probably is not much space if any between the carpet and the concrete. Any ideas?

Under-carpet flat cable that's designed for this purpose.

Or something like this over floor guard. Odds are if this is carpet over concrete it's glued down.

Google is your friend. Here is an example of flat CAT6. I've used the product that Bill brought up. It's pretty good about staying put, even when chairs roll over it.

The AMP is ok,Just go into a Sprint wireless store to check it out, they use a lot of it. I have worked with it quite a bit in them.

Personally, I never liked undercarpet cable. I've installed voice, data & electrical.
I saw a gal in high heels who stepped down and cut through the metal plate on top of the electrical undercarpet cable. She also pinched the wiring and blew the heel of her shoe off.
You won't do that with low voltage, but then again LV doesn't come with a top plate. You;ll just mangle the wire. Easier on the shoes, harder on the Network.
Wiremold 2600 pancake overfloor molding isn't pretty, but it works.
And no one is putting their foot through it.
