I have an old Executone, Encore Plus system and something went wrong to the point where I have no extensions. When I turn on the the system, there is a ringing/tone that comes through on all the phones. When I turn the volum e dial down on the TGC-1 card, the ringing goes away and we here a dial tone, but when we try to dial out, nothing happens. Do you think the TGC-1 card is bad? Does anyone know where I can purchase one? One of the SRC-1+ cards blew a fues yesterday, but all of the other extentions worked, except the ones on the that card.

What size of system do you have? Have you checked the fuses on the power supply? Sometimes they blow after a power surge. Also you can pull all station cards but common control cards (CPU,TGC)and plug station cards in one at a time testing those stations on card. Sometimes one bad card will drag the whole system down. It is not likely that the TGC (tone generator card) went bad, but you should be able to get parts from https://www.telbroker.com/ Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

No phones, need help quick. Thank you.</font> Be careful pulling cards live on that system, it is notorius for blowing station cards even though the manual says it is ok. If you have a manual, re-initialize the system, of course you will have to program again from scratch, but it shouldn't take long.
