Hello all,
I'm cabling a new building and I'm fine when it comes to the data side but I need some help when it comes to the analog.
I am using cat5e with RJ12 jacks at the wall but once its back at the wiring closet (demarc) I'm not sure what I should punch them down to so (Qwest) the telephone company can bring in their lines and patch over to them. There isn't to many analog lines anyway only about 10 total. What would you suggest and if you have any websites or videos I would appreciate it. I would use a 66 or 110 block but Im not sure exactly how to punch down to it so Qwest can cross connect to it.
Cheers, Chris

Punch the pairs from each drop down a split (50pr) 66 block starting at the top left. You will have 6 drops per side.

Hey Chris, Here is some additional information that might help you with that: Installation instructions on terminating onto the block - https://www.icc.com/pdfs_new/install/1149_IC066NB050_MSR-0396_RevB.pdf Wiring Chart - See page 42 - https://www.icc.com/images/pdf/mpr-0426-1PatchPanels%26Cross-Connect.pdf

I would be very surprised if Qwest did the x-connection. Under normal circumstances they leave the lines [labelled or unlabelled] at the D-mark.

WOW, very deffinition of a CG!
Hire a cable pro and stick to doing IT.
Probably charging like $30 a drop and then Hal always complains about standards and trunk slammers
