You folks were such great help on my last issues I'm coming back for more. I've got the phones rining on everyones desk. Originally we only had a couple ringing. I want to enable the Automated Attendent. I am going into the system as a level 8 person. When I try to access the Automated Attendant option (z screen it think I'm not in front of it at the moment.) I get an Access Denied Message. I thought Level 8 was the highest level. I did some searching on the site and saw a reference to Level 9. I didn't see a reference to L9 in my manual. Do I need this level to access the AA feature?
We also have INFOSTAR/VX2. It appears that I can set it up to act as the AA. If so do I still need the Eclipse AA?
I have inherited the system maintance and programming as a side duty. I have no support other than a sys admin manual and this site. I am a rookie at this so be gentle. Thanks Steve

shoover, The AA feature is a downloadable option. It must be turned on then the level 8 password will access the screen.Same goes for voicemail, you need a downloadable feature called VMS integration. If you get on the main programming menu,at the top of the screen you will see OPT: which will tell you what options have been installed on the board.

Thanks for the Reply. I will look and see what options are available. The system was in another one of our offices and had been disconnected for a while. We opened a new location and they gave us this system. I am assuming that this was operational then but you know what happens when you assume. ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/wink.gif) Thanks again. Steve.

From your other questions hooking up the screen and the lines dialling rotary,I would say this system has a chance of being at default. At least the programming sounds like it is but it depends on how long the cpu board was disconnected from power. If it was unplugged too long then it would have lost any downloads it would have had.In programming you can default the system but you wouldn't lose the options that have been turned on.

I must have missed it before, but what type of IDS are you running? 42, 84, 108? Depending on system, I might have a cpu that has all of the features that you need turned on already. Unfortunately, with executone gone and intertel not supporting it, it can be difficult and/or expensive to find someone to turn on the corrrect options without actually shipping them the cpu.

Yes I believe the system is back at default. I was able to look at the options screen and here is what it said: VMS VMI 120 ACD CID TIME.
As far as the system 42,84,108. Who knows? Using the manual and the help from everyone on this BB I have been able to get 20 phones operational, using tone dial and all ringing. Just imagine 5 phones all ringing at once in one office. I have been able to program the keys, and I am currently trying to get the voice mail working. (Lucky for me I have a manual). As I mentioned in a previous post I volunteered to try this. My real job is software developer so I am having to do this while doing my real job. I love a chalange. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I progress. Thanks, Steve

shoover, It sounds like the switch was defaulted using the Crtl F function which defaults the programming but doesn't lose the downloads. You are set up for the voicemail. If you need help setting it up feel free to ask. You have an ACPU,it will say what system you have and the software version on the screen. From the options you listed you have VMS voice mail integration VMI serial connection for the voicemail to the system CID call display Time you can change the time y using a dial code ACD automatic call distribution 120 number of ports you can use

pvj, Thanks for your offer. I may take you up on it. Right now I've got the mail boxes set up, I think. I also have the sys admin mailbox set up as well. I am using the settings from the previous installation. I figure it is ok since it was a package deal. I can't seem to locate the settings that indicates when the call should roll to VMS so the caller can choose an extension. I've only started looking so I may stumble across it. Steve.
