I have a customer who was just upgraded from an IDS 228 cpu to an Eclipse 3.0
and says that they used to press the split key 2 times to get the call and put the 1st
call on hold , now they say they have to press it 3 times?
I remember it only takes 1 push of the button each time.
any ideas?
sounds like user error?
Thanks
Rick

Perhaps they're using a defective handset?

Its system wide, but they also went from an IDS 228 VER. 9.2.2
TO an ECLIPSE 3.0

Rick,

You should only have to hit Split key once.
Did you Intact the upgrade or hand-pack the system.

Hi Jeff,
No it was handpacked I really think its user operation they have a really strange setup,
the cust later told me that since they get so many calls and dont want acd they use the split key to answer the call and keep it on hold on their own phone so they hit it two times? I would think it would be simpler
to hit hold key twice and keep it exclusive.
I really think that the users need to be re-trained.
Thanks
Rick

I tried on IASB old system today. I am installing for a customer that purchased it from IASB. They gave me the 108 system from Lombard and the NSS. Also got both T1 cards. They have 2.5.1x43 software. You hit split key once to put first call on hold and ket second call. If you hit it twice it puts second call on hold and you are talking to the first call.

Latter,
Jeff
