IVX 128. Can't seem to get outdial to work . I have programmed an ext to FWD to a branch ID. The branch ID is set as a GO TO branch set to OUTDIAL. with the outdial number entered as 9P and then 1+ a valid phone number but it does not outdial.

If I am correct take out the pause all you should have to do is dial 9 then the number. If I am wrong I hope a mod will chime in and correct me.

I seem to remember that the IVX 128 could ONLY do Centrex transfer on an outdial (FPXXX-XXXX, FP1XXXXXXXXXX, FPXXXXXXXXXX, etc.), not line-to-line (trunk-to-trunk). Having it dial 9 plus the number, pause or no pause, that's telling it to do a line-to-line transfer, which I believe was not supported on the original IVX 128. As Jules said, if I'm wrong, I'm sure someone else will come along and say so.

I was thinking of the 9 as the line access code but it seems to me that it will do trunk to trunk transfer because I have a law office that I set up the other day. thanks 5 years

I will give the centrex FP1XXXXXXXXXX a try. If I do not have a phone plugged in should I be using an info MB rather than an ext?. One more bit of info...When I dial the ext from a display telephone internally it shows the outdial string on the display but the call does not complete.
Thanks all for your help!

Thinking back, we had a customer that had a similar issue, come to find out he had an IVX 128 Gen 1, which will not call forward off premise.

I remember because it was a system that the customer brought with them from out of state and the system cover (case) said it was an IVX Gen II but programming revealed that it was actually a Gen I system!

That's interesting that you'd run into one with the wrong cover. I bet that got a little frustrating.

For those who don't know, there are multiple versions of "128". There was the IVX 128, then the IVX 128 Plus, then the IVX 128E (E-Class, Gen I), then the IVX 128E Gen II (E-Class, Gen II). Of course that doesn't even mention the other systems (Original IVX, C-Class, S-Class, smaller E-Class, X-Class, and Communications Server).
