Customer has E-Class Gen II running 2.8.4. External paging is a Bogen with a PCMTIM that was connected to CO port 35 in line group 76. This was by the original installers. Now, we have taken over and the customer is requesting that we make it so they can page over the speakerphones and overhead horns simultaneously. The Bogen unit requires you to manually dial 00 to page through all zones or 01 for zone 1, 02 for zone 2, 03 for zone 3, etc. I moved the connection to the Bogen unit over to the page port, changed the DIP switches on the Bogen to use the page port access instead of a CO port. It works, sometimes. I'm not sure if its a timing issue. I have tried dialing 199 or #0 , which then hits the Bogen unit, dial 00 or whatever zone I need, and it works sometimes. Sometimes I hear the DTMF tones going over the external horns. The customer is wanting to be able to have 1 button to page all phones and all horns as well as being able to page only one zone on the horns connected to the Bogen. Previously, they either had to page internally using #0 or a programmable button setup as a CO port that was connected to the Bogen.
I have tested the page port and the Bogen unit separately and each work perfectly by themselves, but putting the 2 together gives me intermittent results.
Any thoughts? Thanks, Kevin

I agree it does sound like a timimg issue, since ESI pages do a 2 tone burts before the path opens.

Leave the co port for zoned paging and come off the page port to a seperate input on amp that will page all speakers?
