I have been sent an IDS 228 from one of our other offices that has closed. I have dealt with many Executone systems in the passed but have never used one in a call center. I was wonding if anyone could tell me how the Operators Terminal is connected. Also what the instructions are for the use of the Silent Monitoring options. I do have an Executone Technician comming out to do a final inspection and startup of the system need to get some stuff typed up to give to my supervisors for monitoring.

I was also looking at the other post and noticed that there is Color CRT Operator Software and was wondering where I might be able to find that software.

Thanks

For color CRT software to work you also need a hardware Donkel (plugs into parallel port on the PC).

Good Luck!!

Sent you a email.
Also the Color CRT was discontinued shortly after they released it. Not alot of them out there.

Thanks, just got it. So I am guessing the DB25 connection on the back of the Phone Terminal isn't connected to anything.

The DB25/RS232 port can be used as another data port on system if you have a EDCM card in system. If you do not have a EDCM it is not used at all.

Good Luck!!

Thanks, I am just wanting to throw it out the windows and get a new Vodavi System. I really like the executone ECX system but hate this IDS. Thanks again for the help.

The Vodavi and the Executone CX system where designed by the same enginers. They even program somwhat alike.

The IDS is a real easy system to program and maintain. It just takes alittle time and underastanding. I think the menu driven programming makes it easier than some systems to program.

Good Luck!!
